Design guidelines

To help create homes of enduring style, Waitikiri has developed specific design and material guidelines to protect your investment, without inhibiting personal expression. The cohesive and harmonious design of Waitikiri will ensure your enjoyment for years to come and provide maximum potential for future capital growth. A variety of section sizes have also been created to allow for substantial homes without compromising gardens, landscaping and outdoor entertainment areas.

Architectural process

Six renowned architects and designers have been selected based upon their individual commitment to quality design and their commitment to Waikitiri’s vision. They offer a wide range of architectural choice, each with a distinct, contemporary style of their own. Simply choose an Architect or designer who inspires you and start planning your new home. Alternatively with pre approval, you can engage your own designer.

The Village

At the heart of Waitikiri, a village of separate, distinctive houses have already been designed by architect Peter Beaven. The village is focused on combining the finest of design and community, capturing some of Europe’s traditional living values, with the diverse Canterbury landscape and it’s natural materials. Each private house has a unique outlook, a view over the spring fed pond of the village green or a view overlooking the common – just perfect for those looking for stress-free, low-maintenance living.
